Understanding Your Bill

Acadian Ambulance Patient Portal

Billing & Insurance Information

As a courtesy, we will attempt to verify your insurance coverage, notify you of any required deposits and submit bills directly to your insurer. However, it is your ultimate responsibility to obtain preauthorization for medical procedures if required by your insurance.

Please understand that if you did not supply adequate insurance information at or before time of service, then your case may result in a denial due to claim filing limitations and pre-certification requirement.

Payment is expected from you and your insurance carrier within 45 days of the claim submission date. Statements are not sent to you until your insurance carrier(s) has completed processing your claim(s). Should your insurance carrier delay processing of your claim, you will be billed for services rendered.

Since 1971, Acadian’s highly skilled medics have provided compassionate care for more than five million patients with our reliable fleet of ground, helicopter and fixed-wing ambulances.
