Your future in emergency medicine doesn’t have to wait. If you’ve been searching for a career that combines purpose, action, and professional growth, the path forward starts in September with Acadian’s National EMS Academy.

On September 8, 2026, the National EMS Academy will begin its next 12-week EMT training program designed to get you on the front lines faster.

The National EMS Academy streamlines the path to certification without sacrificing quality. The EMT class’ hybrid format blends flexible online coursework with intensive, hands-on field training, ensuring you gain the real-world confidence required to save lives.

“Our goal is to ensure that graduates walk out the classroom door and toward an ambulance door not just holding a certificate, but as confident, capable professionals ready to deliver real care,” said TJ Dronet, Senior Director of the National EMS Academy.

The EMT program serves as a direct pipeline to employment with Acadian Ambulance. Following the 12-week course and successful completion of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exam, graduates are eligible to apply for open EMT positions. To support professional career growth, Acadian Ambulance also provides tuition reimbursement programs and clear paths for advancement into roles like Paramedic, Flight Paramedic, or EMS leadership.

Enrollment Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum age of 17 (must be 18 to take the NREMT exam and begin employment)

Prospective students can find more information or begin the registration process at www.BecomeAMedic.com.

Orientation is on August 25 or 26, 2026.
