The Louisiana Association of Nationally Registered EMTs (LANREMT) has named  Acadian Ambulance EMT Macie Guillotte as their EMT of the Year. The awards were announced at their annual conference in Natchitoches on Friday, June 8.

A native of Jeanerette, Louisiana, Guillotte has been with Acadian for two and a half years. She was also recognized as the company’s Hub City regional EMT of the Year at its annual luncheon in May. She is a graduate of Hanson Memorial High School in Franklin, Louisiana.

Guillotte serves as a preceptor for new-hire EMTs and volunteers to work with Acadian’s Lafayette area Explorer post.

“Macie demonstrates remarkable skills as a leader, medic, employee and mentor for our high school Explorer program. We believe she is deserving of this award due to her positive attitude and her eagerness to help others, all while having phenomenal patient care skills. She is an example of a team player and is always willing to go the extra mile,” said Operations Manager Orlando Rolon.

LANREMT is the Louisiana affiliate of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT), and is a member of the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT).
