Acadian Ambulance Texas has recently formed a partnership with Lone Star College in Houston to allow employees to choose from three programs and further their education while working full-time.
The partnership development began in the fall of 2017, and we are currently working on a program with Lone Star to give our van team members the opportunity to get their EMT-Basic certification.
Through the program, employees are provided all the tools and resources they need to complete the programs. Employees will be able to do their clinical hours in through Acadian Ambulance in the Pasadena market, along with at the major hospitals we service in the area.
This summer, we have 13 employees participating in the inaugural partnership program, which is expected to take two years to complete. Next year, we hope to double the class size to 30 students.
