Acadian Ambulance Service and the National EMS Academy announced key leadership changes to support the companies’ continued growth and evolving operational needs.

Troy Guidry, who previously served as the Vice President for operations in Louisiana West, has been appointed to the newly created role of Vice President, Joint Operations. Guidry has been with Acadian for 44 years and will lead a new Joint Operations team focused on enhancing integration with first responder partners. His background includes leadership roles in firefighting and law enforcement, providing a unique perspective to this vital new effort.

Guidry’s new position has allowed Taylor Richard to step in as Vice President, Operations for the Louisiana West region. Richard, a 15-year member of the Acadian team, previously served as Senior Director of Staffing, a role where he was instrumental in developing the National EMS Academy and significantly growing the company’s EMS task force.

Timothy “TJ” Dronet has been promoted to Director of Staffing, a critical role encompassing leading the National EMS Academy’s mission, all recruiting, training, and education efforts, and an influence on retention. Dronet brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having been involved in EMS since 2009 and previously serving as the EMS Program Manager. He is known as an intelligent, mission-driven, and team-driven leader and is supported by an excellent staff and team. He is a graduate of Catholic High School in New Iberia, the National EMS Academy, South Louisiana Community College, and Northwestern State University of Louisiana.

These strategic leadership advancements underscore Acadian Ambulance Service’s commitment to adapting and evolving its structure to meet the demands of an increasingly complex healthcare and emergency services landscape.
