Acadian Ambulance’s East Texas service area is expanding with the acquisition of Dogwood EMS. Based in Woodville, Dogwood was founded in 2005 and provides 911 and non-emergency service to Tyler County. The acquisition will add approximately 15 employees to Acadian Ambulance.

Because of the rural nature of Tyler County, located about 60 miles northwest of Beaumont, we anticipate Acadian Air Med’s helicopter based in Silsbee, Texas, to provide additional services.

“Regardless of the size of an acquisition, it always requires a great deal of behind-the-scenes work. I am grateful to our management and team members who helped lead this charge and navigate the due diligence process. We all look forward to providing outstanding patient care and service to the residents of Tyler County,” said Acadian Regional Vice President Michael Burney.
