At the Acadian Companies annual meeting and awards ceremony on May 2, Annette Serafine was recognized as Acadian Ambulance’s 2023 Dispatcher of the Year. She was presented with her award by Vice President of Air Services & Communications Michael Sonnier.
Serafine joined Acadian Ambulance in 2015 with a background in the medical field. She works in the company’s Austin dispatch center, an Accredited Center of Excellence (ACE) by the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED). Serafine quickly moved from call-taking to a dispatching role and is proficient in dispatching any of Acadian’s West Texas regions. Serafine is highly valued for her dependability, outgoing personality, and ability to maintain great relationships with her coworkers. She also expanded her role to become a lead trainer, assisting in training new hires in their Dallas Comm Center.
Serafine has received several company awards for her performance and accomplishments. She is interested in pursuing the dispatch management track and revamping the initial dispatcher training processes and procedures.
