Effective October 1, 2026, Acadian Ambulance Service will become the sole provider of emergency and non-emergency transportation for Caldwell Parish. The expansion comes as the result of the Caldwell Parish Police Jury’s unanimous vote after a recommendation of the Ambulance Committee to select Acadian Ambulance.

Acadian Ambulance brings 55 years of EMS experience and a commitment to excellence to Caldwell Parish. The company’s comprehensive EMS system includes:
- State-of-the-art ground and air ambulances equipped with the latest medical technology and staffed by highly trained paramedics and EMTs.
- Staffing of dedicated local crews within Caldwell Parish, ensuring prompt response times and familiarity with the local community.
- Advanced dispatch and communication systems that utilize cutting-edge technology for efficient call handling and resource deployment.
Acadian will provide emergency and non-emergency advanced life support (ALS) service with two units. An additional ambulance equipped to provide Critical Care Transport (CCT) capabilities with specialized paramedics, advanced ventilatory equipment, and capability for full hemodynamic monitoring will be available.
Acadian Air Med’s Monroe-based helicopter, backed up by helicopters based in Ferriday and Woodworth, will provide air transport.
The company will operate a station within Caldwell Parish for EMS crew members and supplies. North Louisiana Operations Manager Ty Soileau will oversee Caldwell Parish.
