The National EMS Academy and Acadian Ambulance Service are teaming up to train and hire individuals who are interested in becoming an EMT in certain locations. Individuals will participate in an accelerated EMT program in order to earn their EMT certification.

The accelerated program is a seven-week course, whereas a standard EMT course takes four months to complete. Applicants will be selected for the course and hired as full-time employees through Acadian Ambulance Service.

Acadian will cover the fees and costs of the EMT course. While in school, the student will earn an hourly rate. Upon graduation and passing the EMT National Registry exam, the individual will begin earning EMT pay and work as an Acadian EMT.
