Scot Rudolph served as a Paramedic Field Supervisor for Acadian Air Med, providing advanced medical care to critically ill and injured patients during air transport. His role included mentoring new paramedics, ensuring they were well-prepared for the challenges of air medical transport, and implementing quality assurance protocol to maintain the highest standards of patient care.

Scot began working full-time as a paramedic with Acadian in 1980. He was the Training Officer for the short-lived Kenner Air Med 2 program and was recognized as Medic of the Year in 1985. After leaving Acadian in 1986, Scot transitioned to a career in industrial safety within the oil and gas industry. There, he used his EMS experience to promote safe working environments. He currently works part-time in this field.

Having moved from Pennsylvania to Louisiana in 1980 to join AASI, he learned the Acadian lifestyle and developed a love for the Cajun culture. He only regrets that he refused to eat crawfish for the first two years!

When not working, Scot enjoys spending time with his family and friends, cooking, and being outdoors. He is also passionate about giving back to his community and has volunteered over the years. Throughout his career, Scot has been honored to receive awards such as the Arthur J. Vidrine Medic of the Year Award and two Meritorious Service Awards.

For Scot, the best part of working for Acadian was collaborating with a team of dedicated and compassionate professionals. When reflecting on his favorite memory, Scot recalls “the Esprit de Corps with my brother and sisters who wore the green,” highlighting the strong bond he had with his fellow Acadian team members.

He shares, “I am excited to reconnect with old friends and colleagues while staying connected through the Acadian Alumni Association.” Scot also hopes to share his experience and knowledge with future generations of Acadian employees. He is grateful for his time at Acadian Air Med and proud to be part of the Acadian family.
