CAAS Accreditation

In 1995, Acadian first earned accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services, a designation that represents the gold standard for the ambulance industry. In 2010, Texas operations were reviewed separately and also received CAAS accreditation.

The review, similar to the rigorous process used by hospitals and nursing facilities, is conducted every three years and includes an intensive application process and a multi-day on-site inspection by outside experts.

Acadian is one of three services in Louisiana and Mississippi, one of eight in Texas and one of 171 in the nation to have earned CAAS accreditation. Our company has earned accreditation in every market we serve, not just in those where it is required by ordinance or contract.

CAAS was established to encourage and promote quality patient care in America’s medical transportation system. Accreditation signifies that an agency has met the industry’s highest standards, which often exceed state or local regulations.
