Acadian Paramedic Honored in Jackson Co., Miss

May 11, 2017-Acadian Ambulance paramedic Coty Peardon was named First Responder of the Year at Keesler Federal Credit Union's First Responders Dinner in Pascagoula, Miss.

In total, eleven first responders -- one from each agency that serves Jackson County -- were honored at the annual event on May 11.

This is the third annual dinner that’s been held in honor of the men and women who put their lives on the line every day for the communities along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Nearly 500 people attended the event.

“It’s a way for us to show our appreciation for the first responders," said Keesler FCU President and CEO Andy Swoger. "Without these folks doing what they do every single day, the community isn’t there. Therefore businesses like ours can’t exist. It’s really about the community and just showing appreciation for these guys.”
